Would You Like To Find YOUR Style?

In Private Posts on May 5, 2009 at 1:16 pm

I’ll help you. Free.

I am looking for women who really, truly want to develop a personal style for themselves. Women just like you.

What are you willing to do in order to develop a personal style that works for you?

What have you done, already?

To develop my own style, I read all the books. I had my colors done three times (with different results each time). I tried dressing like women I admired.

Then, I gave that all up, and found what really worked for me by focusing on myself – Who I am, my body type, my personality and what I love.

I’ll teach you to do the same.

I’ve already helped 5,268 women from over 37 countries find a personal style and add creativity to their wardrobe. Here’s what a few of them had to say after taking my courses:

“This class is not just about wardrobe advice, but also self-discovery. I do not hesitate to recommend this class to my friends; it was such a wonderful experience! “
– Jeanne W., San Francisco, CA

” This was a fantastic class that covered a lot more than just clothing. I feel like my confidence and self-esteem have had a workout as well as my wardrobe!”
– Karen T, Dorset, UK

” I absolutely loved this class. It came at a time when I was ready for a change. I am much more put together and confident in my clothing and it shows in my attitude. I received so much more than just learning about style… I learned about me and how I fit into things. I know you can’t print all of my hurrah’s that I have had during this class as a testimonial, but I honestly have to say that I haven’t had this much fun in a very long time. It has truly been eye-opening and tons of fun and education all rolled into one. “
– Mari H., Vancouver, WA

” I have learned so much about myself and feel more confident when I get dressed every day. Most of the frumpy clothes are gone from my closet! I feel better in what I wear these days.”
– Rhonda H., North Salem, IN

In the next two years, I want to help more women than ever feel and look great (my goal is 1 million women by Dec 31, 2010), and I have a plan to do that.

I want to give you my classes free.

Why?
I’m getting ready to launch a brand-new program combining the world of fashion and style with real life for everyday women. Nothing like this has ever been tried before on such a large, but accessible scale. For this to be a success, we need your help.

Now, let me be clear. When I say I’ll give you the classes “Free,” I don’t mean without effort—I just mean that you don’t have to part with any cash to participate with us. In exchange for receiving these valuable courses, we need your help-lots of it.

If you want to magically transform overnight, then my program is not for you.

If you want to look just like your favorite movie star, this is also not the right program for you.

While I would love for every woman in the world to look and feel great every day, I know that the time and effort required to develop a personal style is great, and not everyone is up for the challenge. So, I’ll focus on women who want to put in the effort and give them all my best tips, tricks, and secrets for looking and feeling great, inside and out.

How You Can Help

What will I ask for in return for the free classes, tips, tricks and secrets? Feedback to help us improve our course. Before, during & after photos of you following the program and implementing the tips. Your enthusiasm and questions.

But most of all…

I want you to walk away from this project feeling gorgeous!

Still interested?

Here’s what to do:

1) Follow @thesomeex (that’s the project account) on twitter, if you don’t already. If you’re not on twitter, no worries. Just go on to the next step.

2) Blog about this, tweet about this opportunity and/or Stumble, Digg, or del.icio.us this post.

3) Leave a comment with the blog or twitter link or your Stumble, Digg, or del.icio.us id here (so we can check out the entry) plus a short note about why you want to develop your personal style.

I will contact you by email (from your comment posting) with more details about the project and asking for some additional information from you. By May 31, I will choose 20-100 women to participate. Everyone else will get a special goody, just for helping to spread the word.

No blog? No twitter? No social media accounts? That’s OK… Just post a comment letting me know how you found out about this special opportunity and why you want to develop your personal style. I won’t count you out!

  1. Hey Ms. thesomeex, I think that you ought to include men or at least this man in your project. Teach me, how to be more awesome than I already feel! : )

  2. How fun! Just tweeted about you on my personal twitter (@davacasoni) I am pretty style challenged but definitely open to learning. I’m interested in developing a personal style that is simultaneously fun and unique but classy and professional.

  3. I’m at a new age / stage of life where I find my old style not really working anymore. I am a middle aged (48yo) plus size woman who always felt comfortable in my own skin and thought I had a personal style that worked for me, but it just doesn’t feel right on me now. To complicate that, I am a fashion jewelry designer who needs to feel confident in my appearance so that I can represent my line to the fashion industry. I could really use guidance. I retweeted your message today. http://twitter.com/HeartsDesireJ

  4. My job places me in front of classrooms full of women of all ages. They admire my jewelry design and teaching ability, but certainly not my wardrobe or style of dress. I have NO style of dress. I work from home a large portion of the time, but need a stylish, design-conscious look for my professional work days. I want to make the experience of being the worst-dressed woman in the room part of my past.

  5. We moved to a small town and as time has gone by, living in a very laid back town (which I love), I find that I have become a bluejean/tshirt person. The only time I really ‘dress up’ is on Sunday morning for church – but that doesn’t always make me feel like I am looking good … something seems to be missing.

People still like me as I am but I don’t have that Feel Good
    About Myself feeling.

I am very active in local volunteer organizations and one of my very dear friends is a member of a couple of the groups I belong to. I always complement her when she comes to a meeting looking especially nice. Yesterday, she offered to come over and help me with my make-up and clothes before we went to a meeting! WHAT!! I thought- do I need help? I don’t want to be someone’s Mini-me! But someone who cares about me thinks I need a change. What a wake up call!!

I obviously seem to have lost any style I may have had and need to be able to look and feel good about myself again – Now is the time for a change. I need HELP!!!

Enthusiasm?? – after my girlfriend giving me a wake-up call — it’s here, jumping up & down, shouting and waving – Pick Me! Pick Me!!

Questions??? — I just adore asking questions!! How many are we allowed to ask??

I am ready for a change – I look forward to the challenge of looking and feeling great.

I have retweeted your message http://twitter.com/jazzee99
    plus sent out emails.

  6. I find myself in the throes of middle age (54). I prefer middle age to old age, which I’m fast approaching. When I was younger I feel I had style. Friends used to rely on me to go shopping with them because they admired my taste. As I get older, I feel I’ve lost that sense of style and am not sure just how someone my age should be dressing to flatter the figure that I somehow have acquired. LOL!

  7. I am in desperate need of some help. I am wearing clothes I’ve had for 10 years, while they are classic in style, I know I do need to update. @valeriec24 (on twitter and delcious)

  8. [...] questions from call-ins on this week’s Girlfriendology BlogTalkRadio show. Check it out and check out her blog where she’s giving away FREE style [...]

  9. What a great idea! Thanks for helping the style-challenged and thus making this a more beautiful world for the rest of us. Just re-tweeted your message. Don’t need to participate (though I will if that will help you!) but wishing you success and fun with this project.

    @glamourbrain

  10. I think this sort of fashion class would be great! I wish you the greatest success. I’m an imported of several different lines of jewelry from various places on the globe and think this would be a great addition to our marketplace.
